This notice describes what we collect when you use Ascendare, why we collect it, who else processes it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It describes the service as it actually operates. Where we do not do something — track you across the web, sell your data, profile you for advertising — we say so plainly rather than leaving it out.
What we collect
- Account details. Your name and email address. A password, stored only as a one-way hash we cannot reverse. Optionally a phone number, time zone, current role and organisation if you choose to provide them. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile image from Google.
- Assessment responses and results. The answers you give, and the scores and profile derived from them, including how precisely each was measured.
- Conversations with Aria. The messages you send and the replies you receive are stored against your account so the conversation persists.
- Anything you write in the platform — practice entries, reflections, and your answer to what you would find most useful next.
- Basic account activity. When you signed up, when you last signed in, and whether you have completed onboarding.
We do not collect payment card details. If and when you buy something, the card is entered directly with our payment processor and we never see or store it.
Why we collect it
- To give you an account, keep you signed in, and let you recover access.
- To produce and show you your report, which is the service itself.
- To let Aria answer with your profile in front of it, rather than generically.
- To send you email that relates to your account — a welcome message, a notification that your assessment has been scored, a password reset.
- To keep the service working and secure, including limiting abuse.
Who else processes it
We use a small number of providers to run the service. Each receives only what its job requires:
- Supabase — hosts the database holding your account, responses and results.
- Vercel — hosts and serves the application, and records standard server logs.
- Anthropic — provides the model behind Aria. When you send Aria a message, that message and a summary of your assessment profile are sent to Anthropic to generate a reply. Aria is not available unless you use it.
- Resend — delivers account email.
- Stripe — processes payments and holds card details directly. We store only a customer reference.
- beehiiv — holds newsletter subscriptions, if you give us your email for that.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with a Google account.
We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we run no advertising or cross-site tracking of any kind.
How long we keep it
- While your account exists — account details, assessment results, Aria conversations and anything you have written.
- Deleted with your account — all of the above, removed from the live database when you ask us to close it.
- Server logs — retained by our hosting provider for a short operational period, then discarded.
- Records we must keep — payment and tax records are retained as long as the law requires, regardless of account closure.
Backups are overwritten on a rolling cycle, so deleted data may persist in a backup for a short period after removal from the live database.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Write to support@dossouleadership.com from the address on your account and we will action it. Depending on where you live you may have these rights under law; we extend them to everyone regardless.
Deleting your account deletes your report. We cannot reconstruct it afterwards, so download a copy first if you want to keep it.
A note on what your report is
Your results describe how you see your own leadership. They are not a clinical or psychological assessment, and they are not designed or validated for hiring, promotion or any other decision about a person's employment. We will not provide your results to an employer without your explicit instruction.
Children
Ascendare is intended for working professionals and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will email you rather than rely on you noticing.
